I am a native of St. Pete.and a Fine Arts photographer. My dad, a Photojournalist instilled in me a love of photography, and history. I attended St. Pete. College, Florida State University and Watkins Institute of Art in Nashville. Art school imprinted a sense design, how things occupy space coupled with a strong sense of story telling through images. With a background in journalism both as a writer and a researcher, / believe that a photograph and concise narrative is essential in preserving our history. My work is geared to that end.
I had my first show in St. Pete, at Studio @ 620, had two shows at the St. Pete Museum of History, and was involved in a third, recognizing six artists of St. Pete.. including Paul Eppling, Bill Woo, Carrie Jadus and myself. / have been in many local shows which include as a featured artist in the Carrie Jadus Softwater Studio, the Kapfer Gallery, the Left Bank Bistro, Book & Bottle Shop, and the Emerald Bar, as well. as many group shows including, but not limited to, several Files and Film exhibits, Decades (Mize Gallery) and a few Vitale shows. I have won awards from the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, Suntan Art Gallery, and the Sarasota Art & Craft Festival.
The Des Moines, low Concours D'Elegance Exhibition included three of my large prints. My photos have appeared in the "Tampa Bay Magazine and been selected for National Geographic's Daily Dozen website. My photos are included in private collections across the country. / have been fortunate to have the local media, both print and televised, provide me with much publicity. Books published to date include a line art coloring book of my photos. I have been fortunate to acquire great publicity for my work.
