ANGELES PUJOL

I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am a visual artist, in my work I explore the interconnection with the natural world and the human feeling. I grew up in an environment surrounded by nature, I trace a deep and spiritual bond that led me to look beyond appearances. To dwell on the hidden language embodied in all forms of life. My artistic practice and inspiration is focused on bringing to the tangible world from the symbolic and visual the manifestation of patterns; energies; geometries and the similarity that underlies everything that exists. In exploring this mysterious visual imprint that nature gives us, as a way to understand reality, the understanding of the world and the place we occupy. Themes that serve to reflect on the power of thought and the wisdom that these enclose. I organize my work in series, in my plastic language I use different materials, I combine acrylic paint, gesso and sometimes discarded paper.

WILLIAM BRAEMER

From the Caribbean flavored abstract paintings to the ornately crafted sculptures, William’s artwork appeals to a wide cross-section of collectors. As a young man, William was educated in New York and upon graduation, apprenticed in Europe during the 1980’s. While living in Florence, Italy, he was inspired by the city’s rich artistic history and its’ deep-rooted culture. It was this moment in time of William’s life which inspired him to pursue his passion for art; thus, beginning a life-long journey steeped in a love for self-expression.

Artist Statement
“My intense passion and extreme love of life is the foundation of my creativity. Elation, contentment and ultimate satisfaction are the feelings I experience when reaching the completion of one of my pieces, thus granting me the drive and ambition to begin creating a new body of work. I like to define my artistic style as abstract in nature coupled with an expressionist quality.
My interpretation of a subject matter is
transformed into rich, vibrant bold colors
– timeless, awakening the soul, uplifting and radiant. My use of color evokes many moods; each piece I create is a moment in my life and therefore reflects that period of time – my art is the reflection of my eyes looking into my soul.”

Roman Žalac

Roman Žalac was born in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, on April 7, 1970. He immigrated to the United States when he was in his early twenties. When he was a child, he had an interest in and an aptitude for the arts, but due to life’s circumstances he did not pursue them. It was not until 2003 that he picked up a brush. Since then, he has been experimenting with many mediums, but he finds oil to be most satisfying.

Roman has resided in Miami since 1997. Living in Miami has influenced both the theme and color of many of his paintings. Indeed, the human experience as it interacts with urban society intrigues him. He especially enjoys the challenge of capturing the female essence and her power as she struggles to reconcile her sexuality with her spirituality. Although living in the city has its impact, the motifs and backspashes of many of his paintings are European since its impression is also strong.

PEDNÒ

PEDNÒ’s paintings look you right in the face. His daring works seethe with personality, featuring sumptuous modeling of flesh, rich flowing hair and riveting eyes. PEDNÒ has an uncanny way of capturing the soul of an individual, behind the often-eccentric outer personas we find complex individuals rendered with a great sensitivity and in striking detail. The models both real and imaginary featured in his paintings peer from behind a fierce gaze or lustful posture yet it seems that PEDNÒ is imploring us to explore below the surface of his figures as well as within our own selves; we are indeed more than the sum of our parts. “We have to find our own place, our own style, take a journey deep into yourself to find what you have to say,” he states. Yet his works remain highly seductive, the startlingly beautiful people are not to be disregarded and his treatment of backgrounds and finishing touches of frenetic brushwork contribute to a voguish aesthetic. His background as a hairdresser has contributed to an acute awareness of beauty and all the glory that it can bring. Working on real people throughout the day has created an unusual and startlingly individualistic art form that is exceedingly magnetic. PEDNÒ markets and sells his work with great success, last year alone selling forty-two pieces. He lives and works in Montreal.

KOMAROV

My name is Komarov. I am a native Floridian, born in Hollywood and raised in Chicago.

From a young age, I knew art would play a significant role in my life. Museums and galleries became my playground. My art curriculum was my favorite part of school.

From the first brush stroke I placed on a canvas, I realized I could express my feelings, thoughts, and points of view without having to communicate my deepest emotions with a single word.

I hope that when you look at my artwork, it evokes deep feelings or thoughts.

As I paint, I express my hopes, dreams, pain, and sacrifices from both the present and the past. I hope you will find in my art the concerns and uncertainties of my future….

Albert Schmidbauer

Born in 1968 in Schärding /Upper Austria, he lives and works in Vienna, Salzburg, Natternbach and Los Angeles, and is married to Christina. His daughter Nika was born in 2008 and his second daughter Mira in 2011. His son Luis was born in 2013. Autodidact.

The profession of an artist is accordingly not one that can be acquired through academic training and a corresponding degree, but is rather a calling. Comparable to the calling to be the father of three children. You can prepare for this task in seminars and by reading guides, but mastering the task requires responsibility and demands daily commitment and dedication. It is likely no coincidence that Schmidbauer became the "father" of numerous works of art after the birth of his third child.

Since 2012 the autodidact created more than 300 works. These "children" are mostly large-format acrylic paintings on canvas. As a graduate of a secondary school that specialises in artistic education, Prof. Laurenz Hudetz influenced him personally. Schmidbauer's works are indirectly influenced by Hubert Scheibl, one of Austria's best-known artists, and by the world star Gerhard Richter.

Three philosophical themes define his oeuvre: openness, change and hope.
