LEONARD ASKOWITZ
Dr. Leonard Askowitz was born in West Virginia, but moved to Miami, Florida when he was 16 years old. After finishing high school, his life centered around medicine for the next 45 years. First medical school, then a residency in Pediatrics and then 40 years in private practice. He retired 15 years ago and now reside in Miami, Florida with his wife, Johan and dog Lucky. He have always loved photography, especially nature, portraiture and still life.
One day he was introduced to black-light photography and was enchanted by the intense, brilliant, neon, glowing colors produced by ultraviolet light. He now has a large portfolio of black-light photos, including portraits, glassware and other miscellaneous subjects. He has found this media to be a great way to express his creativity.
